Here we have a basic over view of the spells used in Narmir.

Spells can be a big weapon in Narmir but you must be tactful and very careful when using them. Most spells take spell book away when you cast them. Which means you must have the amount required to learn the spell PLUS the amount it is going to take away for the spell to cast successfully. If you don't have enough spell book the spell can not get out of your own kingdom and is returned to YOU and you cast on yourself.

The spell you want to cast was gotten at 4000 spell book
Lets say you have         4400 spell book
Lets say it cost you         500 spell book
This will leave you with 3900 spell book
The 3900 is lower than the 4000
Thus this spell will backfire on you.


Example of Spell Book cost #2
The spell you want to cast was gotten at 4000 spell book
Lets say you have         4400 spell book
Lets say it cost you         250 spell book
This will leave you with 4150 spell book
The 4150 is greater than the 4000
Thus this spell will cast successfully.

Some of your higher up spells also require Orbs to cast. To get orbs you cast the Orb spell on yourself with a minimum of 200k mana. To cast a spell you must be in 50% of your score range of the targeted kingdom. You click the "warfare" tab then you select a target from the pull down menu of locations on the right. Then you click the "spells" tab and select a spell to cast. Then you set the amount of "power" with the slide bar. This is how strong the spell will be and cant be any higher than the amount of mana you have. Then you set the "duration" which is how many turns the spell will last for. *Note: Some spells are instants so they do their damage when cast. No duration can be set.* Then you set "obscuring" if you want to. This takes part of the mana  using it to hide who cast the spell so your target cant see that YOU cast the spell. It takes different amounts for it to be successful usually 50% of the mana. But there are no guarantees that it will be successful.* Note: Obscuring isn't required to cast the spell.* Then you click "cast spell". When your news light flashes you have news telling you that you have cast the spell, what spell and on who. Also you can cast combinations of spells making them stronger or weaker. For example if you cast fire and drought, the drought makes the fire stronger or if you cast rain and fire the rain makes the fire weaker. Just use common sense and you can figure out what works together. Below is a table of the basic spells, where you will get them in your spell book, orbs required to cast them, a brief description of what they do, how much spell book it will cost you to cast and the minimum mana required for those higher spells that have a minimum mana requirement. Some of this information can also be found in the game by clicking the "advisor" tab and then clicking on "racial information". The specifics of what spells do you can ask people in chat or experiment and see.
